Since they don't use decorate, people aren't too keen on working on this, and would prefer the other sections

What do you mean? The SFX already uploaded use Decorate.

Also, this isn't as popular because you can't just recolor an existing monster, throw the word "dark" in front of the name and submit it.

Edit: Also, to get the ball rolling, if people need ideas:
  • Falling clumps of snow (Like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btDCdBPmbAU)
  • Volcanic ash (like a weather effect. Spawning in the air and moving as though it's windy)
  • Dust falling from a ceiling
  • Map-spawned explosions (bonus pants if you use more than MISL B, C and D, and make it customizable)

There are few things I would like to see, maybe someone will take the idea and realize it:
-underwater bubbles
-water foam for waterfalls/lavafals/sludgefalls
-rubble spawner when wall is destroyed by explosion

I wish I could contribute to this, but I barely have a grasp on decorate.

Well, figured I'd start this off:

Info:
Type: Bullet/shell casings
Connections: None
Spawn Offsets: Arguments
Documentation: Yes
Spawn Ceiling: No
Variants: None
Summon: CasingSpawner
ACS: No

Credits:
Decorate: Ghastly_dragon
Sprites: KDiZD Team

Description:
Spawns bullet, shell and rifle slug casings (sprites from KDiZD). The first argument is the amount of casings spawned, the second is the area in which it is spawned (doubled), and the third argument dictates the kind of casing spawned (0 for bullet, 1 for shotgun shell, 2 for rifle slug). 13,42,1 would spawn 13 spent shotgun shells in an 84x84 square.

I also included instructions for adding new casing types. It's very modular and easy to edit.

Also, huh, this would be the first spawner submitted to the SFX Shoppe, since the forums began a year ago. I don't expect this to win the contest, simply because it isn't impressive enough.

Bubble spawner, just place it in the map like a regular object. It's not customisable because I couldn't get thing arguments to work, the numbers always gave bizarre results - derp. -_-
There's a testmap in the zip.

Finally we are getting somewhere :) By the way, are the bubbles disappearing as soon as they hit fake floors? (both 3dfloors and transferfloors)

I dunno, they are set up as projectiles so I assume so. Also they disapear outside of water. Sorry for the poor blue screen, it was taken in the test map that has dodgy water colouring. :-P
