Firstly, I did not work on the sprites or Decorate for this weapon (Except for Two Lines). This is from a weapon pack released by Torm. Except the Sprites. The original gun sprites were too similar to the exisitng Rifle, as the whole thing was taken from the Doom Alphas. The new sprites consist of a Modified Doom 64 Shotgun to fit with the Doom style more. That was created by a guy named Turbo. The pickup sprite is the orginal. Even though I didn't create this, I will do my best too fix anything you people deem "wrong" with it.

Two main problems.

1: It's perfectly accurate.

2: It has casings coming out of it during the firing sprite though no actual casings appear on the ground.

It's generally not accepted to have casings come out of weapons else all weapons would have to have it, so perhaps you can simply remove it.

Because perfectly accurate and accurate don't mean the same thing.

Regardless of distance bullets from this weapon will always land in the same position. Though if you *do* want to keep that then keep in mind that the bullets are doing much more damage then regular chaingun bullets and if you want to say that is also intentional then it's an odd place to put a slot 4 weapon and furthermore giving it the same bullets as found in the chaingun and pistol mean this already powerful weapon has a very common supply of ammunition. All these factors combine to create a weapon that seems somewhat unbalanced.

That's why it's a problem.

So I'll remove the caseings, okay, and I will see what can be done about the weapons accuracy regarding where the bullets hit the wall. I would really not like to mess with the power though.

I feel this need to say that this weapon bugs me because it's supposed to be a single-shot rifle and yet has the same sprite as Doom 64's shotgun. Way to kill the suspension of disbelief.

Well the original sprites were just the Rifle from the Alphas or whatever, which I'm pretty sure are the same sprites for the Rifle already in the Armory. Not to mention those sprites are just 'Over-Submitted'. Finding the D64 Shotgun sprites like this, and since I always found the gun to look more like a rifle anyways, I thought this would've looked nice. And its an Automatic rifle, not a single shot (I think there's a differance. I'm not exactly a weapon expert outside of names.)

I'm going to have to agree with WildWeasel, the Doom64 shotgun just isn't convincing enough to work as a rifle, although it could be modified to resemble the M14 I guess. It would need new fixed sites, elongated barrel and the rifle reloading thingy at the back where the bullets go in.
