[BUG OPEN] Some weapon bugs/defects

1) Staff has flag +WEAPON.NOAUTOFIRE, but this is not a necessity. Also, sometimes I have problems with autofire of staff, if I press the fire key at the final frames of attack.

2) DragonClaw's secondary attack, if ammo is not enough, lowers and raises weapon. May it be fixed?

3) Hellstaff's secondary attack, if ammo is not enough, plays sound and do nothing.

Hi there,

Thanks for the report. Bit of a late post, but I'll probably take a look at the weapons again at some point, fix these, and see if there are any tweaks to be made. I can't remember what state the version of the weapons in HPack are -- I made some more tweaks for a personal Heretic mod of mine, but can't remember whether I ported them over or not.

Not sure when I'll get to it -- Hacx is calling. ;)

Not a bug, as it uses actually ammo when it hits a monster with the secondary attack. You are not supposed to use it if you don't have enough ammo.

No sound is played after all, though the weapon should be lowered in NonPowered mode if there is not enoigh ammo instead of staying.

Would using the combination of WEAPON.ALT_AMMO_OPTIONAL and A_JumpIfNoAmmo be an appropriate solution? Or does someone has something else in mind? If not, I'll make the changes to fix this, then.
