Well, none of them need them, it makes things just a bit more interesting to read :) Don't forget, I am working as designer in an agency, it's actually my job to visualize these kind of things. The only problem: Missing time :(

One example of a diagram would be a room mockup with good/bad locations for various monsters. So a reader has some idea how to "compose" a combat room.

Also a larger mockup of an entire map, marked to demonstrate how to pace encounters in an interesting, non-monotonous way.

Started looking for places screenshots could potentially help. I might need help from Torm to actually add them to the guide, once it's up on the front page.

On the subject of whether or not it really needs it, I don't think it does, but I don't see them getting in the way, either. I think it might give it more of a professional touch, like "we know what we're talking about, because we can very easily pick out examples from places" (which is of course a damn lie because I'm having to comb through wads looking for examples :P).

Wait- What community are you a part of again? I thought we were talking about Doom. :P

I can help you adding the screenshots to the article later, that's no problem

Okay, cool! Is it possible to add like a subtitle to the screenshots for when they're clicked on? Some of these shots could do with a little explanation.

Anywho, I just added a few screenshots to the guide (mostly towards the beginning). They're just links right now, but they display what I want to show, and where I want to show them.

Alright. Also, would it be easier to put the screenshots in during the initial posting, or after the rest of the tutorial's been posted?

The easiest way is to put all together and make it finished, and then we can add it to the repo :)

Grymm and I got back to working on this, and we just added a section in the technical section about using ACS with monster placement. We're going to write something on a topic we realized we only mentioned passingly, put together some screenshots like you suggested, then I think it's done.
