Is there a resource pack somewhere I can downlaod to get started? Or should I just put my own together and it gets lumped with yours? I wanna have a framework before my actual mapping time, in case I get busy those days with other stuff!

That's not how things are supposed to work. You should only start as soon as you get the part from the person who has worked on the map before and THEN start, add material and add your map area (as it should fit to what's already there). Anything else doesn't make much sense.

Day 1
I will most propably start this night with my work, as I won't have a lot of time on sunday and monday (mostly because of my job), but I have already scetched up what I want to try so the execution itself won't take a lot of time. The resources are prepared, the idea is there - can't wait to start

Oh wow, was hoping for Plutonia theme when you mentioned jungles but that looks great too. How are we supposed to compete with that in 2 days though? Guess that's why the detailing stage exists.
