Here's an idea for the site itself: could there be a request area for the reviews section, perhaps similar to the /newstuff review center, in which reviewers can claim requests, and then post their reviews within 48 hours of claiming? Or perhaps just an additional section of the forum where requests can be made and claimed, similar to the way the Doom Musicians Guild is set up?

In case this idea gets rejected, can I humbly request here that Jenesis Pt. 2: 'Beyond' gets a review? It was already reviewed in /newstuff #391 and the review itself was fair and balanced, but not as in-depth as the one I got for Pt. 1, which was almost a map-by-map review (granted, there were only 11 maps in Pt. 1, compared to the 20 in Pt. 2).

Pt. 3 is currently in the works and I'm trying to use as much of the feedback I've gotten so far to improve the existing maps (and also ensure that the new ones are fun to play) as possible. One of the main complaints was the maps' linearity which I do realize now is a bit of a problem. The more advice I get on the individual maps, the better.

I like the idea. It would help keep us with material for reviews rather than just what we're playing at the moment.

I think a place where people can request reviews might be the best and easiest solution. "Claiming" a review doesn't make sense as everyone is free to submit a review on any map he is interested to review, so at least getting people to review a certain map could be supported by requesting reviews.

So, should we put up a forum for that, working like one of the submission forums?

I guess that would make sense. Would you volunteer for that? I am currently on vacation and doing this with my iPhone is a pain in the ass

Not a Feedback subforum since, well, it's not really feedback if reviews are open to anybody.

Under 'General' - the same section as this subforum - I think would be fine.
