No more volcano serpents lol... they were being placed like they were as weak as they were in HeXen lol! It's only level 2 of Episode 3, so a bigger new monster could wait.

I have a maulotaur fight at the end, I could replace that guy with two serpents or whatever and we'd have a similar affair but introduce a new monster - thoughts?

Also I tried using the new texture with the lavafall behind the disciple but it's not properly animated, so you guys know.

As for a wand start, I suppose I COULD place the Hellstaff at the beginning lolz; this episode will be unique in that you don't get the crossbow or dragon claw until later. In fact you get D'Sparil Gauntlets sooner, in H3M4.

Regular Chaos Serpents aren't used very often anyway and would still fit (They breathe fire, for crying out loud). Adding Volcano Serpents would just be one more monster that isn't seen often, when other monsters still work fine. Hell, even the Maulotaur would still work.

Is the map on the SVN? If so, point me to the area and I'll give a better opinion of which monster would work best.

It's H3M2, it IS up, and the final area is behind the green door, the right side of the level!

Personally, I think the area is way too cramped for Chaos Serpents OR Maulotaurs. You need much more room for a Maulotaur

In this instance, it's not challenging, it's just cheap and annoying. It was a nice try to make a more interesting fight, but it doesn't really work in this case. :\

Yes, I also think that these kind of monsters need more space, especially the Maulotaur and his charging attack

By the way, if you want to keep that fog color, change the sky of the skybox to something more fitting, that's closer to the fog.

Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention, the fog really doesn't fit. Personally, I think this map works better without fog. H3M1 and H3M8 look great with it, though.
