Transfer heights method is just as valid.

I was originally going to mention it. However, considering that 3D floors are all around more friendly, and ZDoom supports them too...

@AshuraTheChimera: Yes, what Ceeb and Ghastly mentioned is what I meant. You have the choice between either transfer height or 3d floors. I personally prefer the latter. I find it less confusing than the former.

Don't you mean Pickup state as opposed to Use state in there?

Ack, yeah, after talking with Neural, Pickup state. A_Jump and A_ChangeFlag apparently don't count when determining success, in a Use state.

Transfer heights or 3D floors?

I main with Skulltag, and occasionally use ZDoom. I don't know what they can do (other than slopes).

Both support 3D floors in their "bleeding edge" versions (the Skulltag beta builds, the ZDoom SVN builds).
I want YOU to read the wiki.
And this one too. Also, SLADE3.

I didn't realize Skullfag was current enough to have 3D floors. :o

It doesn't have 3D floors because it's current enough. That's been cherry-picked out of order because it allowed to solve the old "can't use 3D floors in deathmatch" silliness.

Which, for the record, I agree with because it gave software players the unfair advantage of being able to see through said 3d floors. Didn't realize the software 3d floors were ported over, though, which is the perfect solution to that issue. :D
