Even though the puzzle is an interesting idea, but I really do not like that. It's hard to remember all the colors, the battles are boring and repeatative and the whole puzzle slows the pace of the game totally down. The way it is done in Evilution is fine, as it's a quick, fast and intuitive thing... but as it is done here, I really do not like it and I'd rather remove it totally than leaving it as it is now :( Sorry, but I'm just honest.

@Xaser - Feel free to do that :) I am fine with any improvement you come up with.

It's fine. If you think it's better to remove it, then do so.

I'm gonna be honest, I'm not really fond of the puzzle either for obvious reasons. However, removing it means that Infirnex's work will mostly be scraped, since as far as I can see, this's his only addition to the map.

@Infirnex: zirron the insect hasn't started yet as we are in the in-between-slot day, could you come up with something else, something like a normal map setup? It doesn't need to be anything big. Just a small addition perhaps.

As it stands, I have a physical and my braces are coming off, so I won't be home for most of the day.

I think the puzzle would be fine with the following changes:
1. No instadeath. Taking the wrong teleport instead sends you back to the first room, but spawns a few Flesh Spawn in each of the rooms visited so far.
2. When the proper teleport is used, the invalid ones close somehow (sector color change to dull gray, and they stop working).
3. Less opposition in the room. They are pretty cramped, so having to fight off three hell knights or a cybruiser is seriously overkill. It's pretty much impossible to avoid taking damage. Lower the strength of the opposition, or increase the size of the rooms so that there is some room to maneuver.

The length of the sequence could also be decreased a bit. Remove two or three rooms. Keep it from becoming tedious.

For extra credits: make it so that taking the sequence in reverse is possible (no instadeath), but doesn't "validate" the rooms as I suggested in 2. At the end of the sequence, the player is sent to a secret area with a megasphere or some other sort of goodies. :D

Whoops...That was a good idea but I already did a different idea...
I did an Angel of Death fight...I was working no it while we had a modem switch.

I have to leave now but the file is uploading, and when I get back I'll post it.

I don't see how we cannot have both? Would be a shame to discard the puzzle section completely, it could at least be an optional section with a nice prize at the end, like a megasphere and plasma rifle? The puzzle can always be tweaked and balanced by others at stage 2 and 3 anyway. :)

So...here are the choices then, because I feel like I've overdone my time:
1. Keep the puzzle, and someone tweek it later.
2. Keep the Angel of Death fight (Which also needs a detail overhaul...I had to speedmap like hell)
3. Keep both.
4. Remove completely.

If it's an optional puzzle, I might be okay with the whole thing but as of now, being forced to do this is more than frustrating and slows down the complete pace of the map. Although it would mean removing Infirnex' whole part, I'd suggest point 4, I really don't like it for the reasons that I've already mentioned. Nothing personal but we do not need to keep it at all costs as long as it reduces the quality.
