Yeah, a lot of the enemies have been rebalanced to different tiers--the Terminator, as mentioned, now isn't the cyberdemon-killing genocidal it is anymore, and now the Paladin is a badass sniper Hero instead of a flimsy shooter.
I'll admit that it hinges almost entirely on two personal points of taste for me.

The big problem the last Realm667 faction had was that it was mostly just taking the monsters and slapping them in without any regard for balance or progression, so I thought it ended up as a bit of a clusterfuck. So now, there's three very distinct paths; the left path being tech, the middle being fleshy enemies, the right being of darkness. I wanted to give a visual sense of progression as well--the enemies get bigger, more visually impressive, and nastier-looking, and a lot of abilities got shifted around for it.
Also, I've always considered that Realm667 was about using community content as a basis for your own work; learning from what others have made and then supplementing it with your own ideas, rather than (the unfortunately common practice of) downloading it, copying the files in, and then calling it a day. So, the enemies have a lot of reworked behavior now--which I think is showing the potential of what the repository can be to a player, and especially showing that it's not always just copy-and-paste.

That being said, I'm no pr0 designer and I'm certainly not the spokesman of the site. Tomorrow (technically later today), I'll make public the alpha version of the faction for the website's birthday and put up a small server for it, and I'm really interested in seeing what everyone's take on it would be.

lol Sorry half to say but the Gate Keeper can take on a tag team of the Termenator Annihilator and the Moloch and maybe a Cyberdemon too lol his dark fire attack is realy powerfull but its kinda like the SpiderMastermind taking on a Cyberdemon

Yeah this makes me facepalm every time, and it cheapens the worth of the resources too. >.< How many ramdomiser mods have we seen now that are just compilations of realm667 monsters thrown in a wad?

Funny. I always had moloch win against gate keeper. and there have been times where cybie has defeated the gate keeper single handly.
But yeah, over powered monsters can ruin the fun. i kinda question the darkness rift. isnt it un-hittable 90% of the time to begin with? then it spams out powerfull magic. Im pretty sure that unless health is decreased or it reveals itself more, its gonna not be fun.

It's +Ghost, but has a pretty large hitbox, actually. I need to revamp its attacks, though.

He is not too bad the moloch seems more of a pain lol but ya Termenator dose look better
My favs sprite style here in are the Bruiserdemon Termenator CyBruiser and the Over Lord

Also I got 2 questons for Eriance I've been wanting to ask for a wile

1st: I saw this Mancubus sprite with the Unmaker http://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f= ... start=3330 do you have a finished download link to him or would it be ok if I make one? or dose any one here want too if its cool

2nd: I also saw you had a drawing of a Arachne or Vagary monster I started one a wile back but I think yours would tern out better so was wandring if you have started it or finished it

Hmm.. Yeah i got to ask eriance if i could use his sprites hes made, and put up. but i gotta make some posts on zdoom forums before i can use pm. Once i finish the fatso flyer, i guess i could start with that.

@Ghastly i never noticed the large hitbox. It would always kill me before i could do anything :/

Oh, yeah, that's the Corpulent, the replacement of the Mancubus for DE-Ep2. It's the same as the Mancubus, just a sprite change. That's also not an Unmaker, it's the Hellforge Cannon (DE-Ep2 Plasma Rifle equivalent).

I don't think there's any download link, at the moment. Eriance stopped releasing his monsters publicly, because he got a little tired of his monsters showing up in Shuffle mods before they were even released in DE's betas, if I recall correctly.

Can't remember if he's still doing that. He started a really ambitious list of monsters for DE-Ep3 and cut it down quite a bit as time went on.

Stay away from it (really quick, choking melee attack. It's also not solid, so it does melee attacks while you're inside it, but projectiles still hit it). In an arena like the outdoor area on Map13, he's not hard at all.
