This area is obviously a very hot place, it's a cave filled with lava directly in hell - at least this is what it feels like. I'd suggest adding some dark grey/red haze here and orange/red light to underline where you are actually. This is ZDoom, take advantage of its features to enhance the atmosphere. This would look and feel so much better and convincing then!

BTW, why is this totally empty of monsters, items and action?

Dusk sucks at monster placement so Dusk decided to leave the monsters/items stuff to somebody else. Dusk shall address the haze, though.

If I'm not mistaken, Phobus did the majority, if not all, of the hell area. My guess he ran out of time.

Edit: Also, why does Dusk refer to himself in third person?

I agree with the bubble boiling and the lavaball fx. That's also a good addition but I'd try to add dark grey haze (like smoke) and a small tint of red/orange sector colors to achieve a better atmosphere.

Blue Shadow is correct - I basically did all of hell and had no time for monsters, game play or detail. I am surprised that you've only just started addressing this, Torm

I think this area could also benifit from a big hole in the ceiling so we can see the sky. It's very flat at the moment.

This can be closed, since haze has been added... then later removed when it caused problems in Software mode. D:

The ceiling definitely needs work, though. Best to start a new thread for that.

What about some colored light then?
