Use of this forum implies agreement to these rules!
- Offensive, hateful, or illegal content is not allowed. There is no reason to be posting these things here.
- Do not harass, flame, or try to annoy other users. If you can't make your point in a civil way, you don't need to make it.
- Do not try to act like a staff member when you are not one. This includes demanding rejections, warnings, bans, etc.
- Do not backtalk to staff or try to argue your way out of correction. These rules exist to make the forum pleasant for its users, not to give you loopholes to abuse.
- You must follow the submission rules when submitting to the repository. Items will not be evaluated unless they follow the rules. Refusal to correct your submission will get it rejected immediately.
Here are some examples of things that annoy other users:
- Posting just for the sake of posting. Large post counts do not make you cool or important. Post things that actually contribute.
- Posting things in the wrong forum. Pay attention to where you're posting! "Let Us Know" is for site issues only. Repository forums are for official submissions only.
- Using terrible spelling and formatting. Take the time to make your post readable. (Capitalize, punctuate, etc.)
- Multiple posting. Instead of reposting right after your last post, you should edit the last post. (If weeks have passed without reply, you can make a new post, as long as you're not just bumping. See the next point.)
- Bumping old topics. This means posting in a dead discussion when you have nothing important to add.
- Posting for personal messaging. Please take private conversations somewhere else, such as the messenger.
- "Blanking" a post. This means editing out a post or topic, usually replacing it with dots or "delete this". There's no reason to break the topic.
- Asking for a topic to be locked/deleted. These things are rarely necessary. When they are needed, staff will take care of it without your prompting. If you have a very good reason for a lock, it may be considered, but deletion is just a more extreme form of post blanking.
Obviously this can never be a full list, so use some common sense when you post!
New users: Your first post will not appear until it is approved by staff. (This is to combat spammers and other issues.) Please wait until your post has been approved before posting again. Once it has been approved, you can then continue posting without needing approval.
