Description:
You know Doom, it is always the same, get some weapons, infiltrate the destroyed UAC base or demon hive, kill all the monsters and hellspawn and find the exit switch. This was Doom... until now: Stronghold is a mixture of Unreal Tournament's Assault mode and Skulltag's Invasion mode. Defend your Stronghold against hundreds of monsters, divided into several waves. Earn points, get rewards between waves and let no single enemy pass!

Good work on this one, Torm, but i think that STR02 is still too difficult;
suddenly, i am having fun killing those monster, when i read "You failed to

The next version will have Alert Indicators, that make noise as soon as monsters
get near the deadlines. By the way: In STR02, after wave 6 or 7, a new entry
opens, watch out for that!

Tormentor I've played the recent alpha and I've have to say it is AWESOME! I
know there's alot to be done still but the maps are great and the monster waves

I have a problem with lagging in a few maps, mainly maps 15 and 16. Map 15
especially towards the end where dozens of monsters rush at me towards the end,
and it runs practically one frame at a time! Plus I'm playing on the easiest
skill level. Is there any way for me to fix this myself or adjust the
settings

Otherwise, this map visually looks breathtaking but it's hard to enjoy

...this depends on which build you are playing. Afaik, we made countless
enhancements to special effect generators in these maps and most likely this
will be better in the final release but I can not promise this. Huge amounts of
monsters need a good cpu and if some of the maps are still running too slow, you
will need to upgrade your system. I mean, what machine do you have?

Stronghold, it is still around 85% done, I will give some proper feedback in the
news quite soon, maybe even this weekend. Atm, AgentME does a complete rewrite
of the code to make things easier, so just be patient. It's still being worked

Been trying this out within Skulltag (IdeSE), and I was wondering what were the
prefered settings? Running my own server for myself and a friend. The gametype I
usually set up for it is Co-op, and set the maplist to STR02-13. Is this
correct? Also, why does it skip waves 1-3 when I join the server and start to
play? It doesn't do this when I try it in Single-player...

modes. Plus, the last one is a picture of a level that I've never even seen

I wonder what the 4 secret levels are going to be like. Since there are
apparently "35 main strongholds", according to the sub-forum, maybe
these secret maps will be something totally unexpected. Either way, with 40
unique levels in a game like this, it's so hard to wait any longer, but I know
torm and co can pull this off!

If you're referring to torm's last comment, I'm sure that was sarcasm. Besides,
I think morph, icy and co are the ones mostly working on the beta testing. Plus,
he's said over and over again that Stronghold wouldn't die so I still believe
this will get done soon.

The problem is that actually there are only 2 persons working actively on
Stronghold and that's mostly Eruanna and me. Vader does - fortunately - some
playtesting but all the others do not have time or maybe even interest to hel
with this. We aimed for a release in January but I doubt that we will be able to
release it before summer, maybe even longer.

40 incredible looking levels and all that ingenuity are too good to let die. To
have all end up on the cutting room floor forever would be devastating. I'll
wait for it whenever it's released, and hope that some of the higher ups in the
doom community come back to help get it out and finished.

I really need to commend you, good job, very nice modification wad. But i have
found some bugs. First - Sometime the enemies are immortal, the bullets go
throught them and they dont scream by pain. Sometime the game crushdown and i
have to start it again. The final bugs is really sucks Sometime i try to load
the game it doesn work, it just write some piece of shit but to do nothing.. the
i must the mission start again from the beginning... Have a nice day

Yeah...Well I did like the gameplay alot but the HUD is kinda big and should be
better if on the sides of the screen....But I don't like the copied Art of
WH40Kawn of war in the menu...But the gameplay is still extremely cool and
really special compared to the old projects...But plz if you are going to make
any new projects...Do not copy....Just make them yourself cause it would look
alot more better because of what you can do already^w^....
