Just noticed that there is some news about the Ashes total conversion by the modder Vostyok involving development stuff and most notably screenshots about his post-apocalyptic mod that seems to be heavily inspired by Fallout.  For me it is one of the projects I am looking forward the most as he seems to catch the atmosphere and look very well. It all feels like abandoned places, destroyed cities, lost settings - good stuff I'd say. Take a look at the development thread at ZDoom and maybe give him some feedback to keep him motivated.
