I do also think that the missile state is too slow or it lacks more frames, cause having the monster to stop for 24 tics on a frame (not a particularly "catchy" frame either) and then shoot 3 real slow fireballs, is a bit of a letdown. There's still the problem with the monster sprites, they should be more interesting than just a red demon. Keep the original Fire Demon, extend his existing spikes, add some more spikes, sharper teeth for melee damage, and maybe add claws for looks. Heretic's FX06 sprite set can be use as the monster's projectile. Lastly, give him a flame breath attack for close range. These are my suggestions.
