For a good acustical atmosphere, there is no way around ambient sounds. Though it's often very hard to find quality (and if needed, looping) sounds that aren't already overused in mods. The Sound Factory is the place to go.
Sometimes the default Doom, Heretic, Hexen or Strife textures just aren't enough. In those cases, the Texture Stock fulfills all your needs and wishes. If you want to submit a pack, make sure to read the submission rules.
