[UPDATE] MG45 was created by Doomperson 999
Code: Doomperson 999, willkuer, BFGMajorMike, ZMC, elSebas54, Albertolas
Sprites: Blackmore1014, Demirgon, willkuer, Captain j, Jazzmaster, The Railgunner, Carbine Dioxide, Albertolas
Sounds: ZVX, Sgt. Mk. IV, willkuer, Sound Dogs, ZMC, Treyarch, Activision, Raven Software, VALVe
Idea Base: Einheitsmaschinengewehr (The Universal Machine Gun Concept).
Description: In 1944, the material shortages of the Third Reich led to the development of a newer issue of the Einheitsmaschinengewehr, a material-saving simplified version of the MG 42, the MG 45 (or MG 42V). It fires at a faster rate than that of the MG-42, which, even with its original fire rate, could sever limbs and cut people in half with its bullet barrage, and has been modified by an unknown person or organization to chamber a modernized version of the 7.92x57mm Mauser cartridge, which employs the use of higher-power gunpowder materials and therefore generates much more energy per shot, rendering it a good choice against hellspawn and other such powerful creatures.
Creator's Description: This is, as said above, inspired by the Einheitsmaschinengewehr concept, along with the fact that I have not really seen the MG42 and its variants really featured in Doom mods, which goes as well for any other real-life weapon for some reason. In this update, I addressed and fixed some of the major flaws of the previous iteration of the weapon, like residual sprites, the absence of detailed animations, and some flaws in the spritework, along with the very barebones design of the weapon itself and how it functioned, with help from various different modders and organizations, whose contributions I took and amalgamated into this weapon (all of them being credited above). The firing animation is much more satisfying, the fire-rate has been halved (because the original one was ridiculous even by MG42 standards), its firing and pickup sprited have been made much more dark and gritty and now it finally has a reload mechanic, however inaccurate it may be (i know the weapon doesn't have detachable mags and is supposed to be opened up to reload, but I can't do anything about that since I can't sprite at all). Future ideas are to, of course, improve the reload animation and make it a more "accurate" one, and add an overheating/barrel-swapping mechanic (preferrably triggered using the Zoom key), but those are all pipe dreams as of now.
P.S.: Feels great to be back after such a long time. I'll continue making stuff like this pretty often. In the meantime, if there are any bugs around, please do inform me.
