Plasma Quad Shotgun was created by NourPrince

Type: Hitscan. (Projectile-style)
Palette: PNG (Truecolor).
Summon: PlasmaQuadShotgun.
Ammo Type: Cell.
Altfire: No.
Powered Mode: No.
Added States: No.

Credits:
Submitted: NourPrince.
Decorate: NourPrince.
GLDefs: Nothing.
Sounds: The fire sound comes from PlasmaFire, so it's Doom. While the reload is unknown.
Sprites: Doom 2.
Sprite Edit: NourPrince.
Idea Base: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. The original idea resembles TAC-19.
ACS: No.

Description:
The unique idea of being able to have not only one, nor two, but 4! Yes. The Quad Barreled Plasma Shotgun has made by UAC, this is probably the second strongest weapon next to BFG9K. accurate shots. A baron equals 3 accurate shots.

Behavior-wise, it's actually pretty nice (though 5 projectiles from 4 barrels?). But, the sprite set doesn't really scream "plasma weapon" to me. The pickup is still pretty good on its own merits, but the first-person perspective sprites could use a bit more work--apart from the tip of the barrels, it's almost indistinguishable from the SSG. I do appreciate the pump-action animation, though.

Still, it's fun, and it doesn't feel like it has any mechanical balance issues, so that's a good start!

I'll just add to what MagicWazard said:
  • The weapon doesn't give ammo when picked up.
  • There is a small 10-tic delay between lifting the weapon up after firing and pumping it. It feels odd. I think it should be reduced to 2.

The weapon still doesn't look "techy" despite the blue hue. Also, there is another point I'd like to bring up: power.

For a four-barreled shotgun, the weapon is rather weak. You can take down a baron with five super shotgun blasts. With this, however, it took eleven or twelve. Plus, it runs off energy cells, which aren't as common as you-find-it-everywhere shotgun shells. And don't forget that it fires projectiles instead of hitscan. In other words, there isn't much of a reason to use this weapon over the traditional shotgun types.

Still, for a shotgun submission, I think you're doing something right here with this weapon, because usually I groan whenever I see one of those, but not with this one.

I gotcha, I can solve the power problem, no problem. About the sprites, however... I will experiment some sprites to see if it actually looks good or not.

Could you try and find out where it came from? If not, you might want to find an alternative sound.

As for the behavior, the weapon needs to consume more ammo than 2 per blast. How much it should consume? Something in the range of 5 to 8, I'd say, if not more.
